Where to Stay in Charleston: The Monroe House + YourPad
Up next on our tour of where to stay in Charleston is the perfectly decorated, The Monroe House. When I tell you guys I couldn’t wait to share this one… I mean just take a scroll. Every little bit of her is beautiful. The Monroe House is a historic home here in Charleston that was recently restored and renovated and can be rented through a vacation rental company called YourPad. It is conveniently situated just blocks away from King Street and lots of great restaurants like Pink Cactus, Xiao Bao Biscuit, and one of my favorite coffee shops, Sightsee.
The best part? The home is separated into three spacious separate units, which you’ll find each one pictured below. Therefore, it is perfect for family reunions, bachelorette parties, and a much-needed girls trip! It also includes a private wrap-around porch (one of my favorite features) with outdoor seating to enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Another huge perk? There’s parking on site. Yep, parking, downtown, included in the price of your rental. A luxury in this city for sure.
Now let’s talk about the decor, because let’s be honest, that’s what we’re all here for. Every inch of this home is completely photo-worthy, which is what drew me to it in the first place. The home is decorated by interior designer, Alyssa Demilio, and is made complete by vintage finishes, printed wallpaper, and unexpected colors. My days on “vacation” were spent exploring each unit in its entirety and I captured all of my favorite parts below, from the colorful bathroom tiles to the unique and vibrant gallery wall located in the upstairs unit.
Needless to say, I give The Monroe House an easy 11/10 and would definitely recommend it for all of your upcoming travels to the Lowcountry. Be sure to follow The Monroe House on Instagram here for all of this home decor inspo goodness and head to YourPad’s website here to check out their listings and book!
