Where to Stay in Charleston: Guesthouse

Where to Stay in Charleston: Guesthouse

Could anyone else use a staycation right about now? Or how about a quiet vacation to your favorite charming town? I was lucky enough to pop over to the absolutely gorgeous Guesthouse Charleston for a quick weekend getaway in my own city with a few girlfriends! And when I tell y’all this place was amazing, that is a major understatement. Guesthouse offers luxury short-term accommodations located right in the heart of downtown Charleston. All of their homes are situated in property “clusters,” making them the perfect accommodation arrangement for large groups such as wedding parties, reunions, family gatherings, etc. The best part of these homes is that they truly do feel like your home-away-from-home. I felt so cozy and comfortable the whole weekend and totally wanted to move in once it was time to leave!

We stayed at Guesthouse’s home at 204 Saint Philip Street, located right off of Upper King Street. Not only is the house just perfectly decorated (scroll to see every single detail pictured below), but it also comes complete with four bedrooms (sleeping up to 8), a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer – yes, I was very impressed with the washer and dryer situation! My favorite part though? The adorable little breakfast nook welcoming you when you walk through the front door. We spent almost every night and morning gathered around the table eating our meals and spending time together. I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention how comfy the beds were. After our first night, we all gushed at how well we slept (while sitting in the breakfast nook, of course), which for me is very rare when I’m not sleeping in my own bed.

And finally, the location of this particular home is everything. It is perfect walking distance from two of my favorite coffee shops, Sightsee Shop and Brown’s Court Bakery. It’s also a quick stroll from lunch and dinner spots like Uptown Social, The Ordinary, The Darling Oyster Bar, Pink Cactus, and Xiao Bao Biscuit.

Whether you are in need of a little staycation or visiting Charleston with family and friends, you’ll be in great hands with Guesthouse. Check out their website here for all the details on their 16 different properties for rent.
