Where to Stay in Charleston: Grand Bohemian Hotel

Where to Stay in Charleston: Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston

A few weeks ago, I got the amazing opportunity to have a little staycation at Charleston’s Grand Bohemian Hotel! It was much-needed and so great to be able to just relax for a few days. Not to mention, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The avant-garde and unique decor welcomes you as soon as you walk through the doors. The check-in process was, of course, seamless and I always felt very safe as the hotel had a mask mandate in all public areas. My home-away-from-home for the next couple of nights, aka my room, was so cozy and decorated to the nines. Check out the full room tour I did on Instagram here. I mean how perfect is that headboard?! It was probably my favorite part of the room in addition to the art.

And speaking of art, just steps outside of my room was also the art atrium – yep, you read that right. Our own little art gallery right on our floor! It features a beautiful collection of bright and colorful original art and was such a unique touch for the guests. Check out a video of the art atrium I shared on Instagram here!

For breakfast and dinner, I dined at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Élevé. I had been to the restaurant before staying at the hotel and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots to bring visitors because of the amazing view! For breakfast, I ordered their pancakes – which apparently is a Grand Bohemian specialty! They were seriously some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had and I’d definitely stay at the hotel again just for the pancakes. One of my close girl friends and I sat on the rooftop and watched the sunset over cocktails. It was such a perfect evening!

Located right in the Charleston Historic District, this boutique hotel is just steps from local favorite restaurants and shopping on King Street. It is perfect walking distance from one of my favorite coffee shops, Harken, and also a quick stroll from lunch and dinner spots like Basic Kitchen, Le Farfalle, Fig, and Millers All Day.

Whether you’re visiting for work or for play, you’ll be in great hands at the Grand Bohemian. Check out their website here for all the details and to book!
