The Best Movies to Watch on Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is here and if you’re like me, there’s no better way to spend it than curling up on the couch with your S.O. watching romantic movies all night long. (Even if you’re on the single train with me and your S.O. is a bag of potato chips) So I’ve put together a list of my favorite rom-coms, chick flicks, and all-around sappy movies to watch on this day dedicated to love! Whether you’re in the mood to laugh or cry your eyes out, here are some of the most romantic movies out there. (All movies available on Netflix are linked below! You can thank me later.)
- Valentine’s Day: Need I say more? This list wouldn’t be complete without the movie perfectly named after the holiday itself.
- The Notebook: The most swoon-worthy of all of these options and a complete classic! Is anything better than Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdam’s iconic kiss in the pouring rain? I think not.
- 10 Things I Hate About You: Because Heath Ledger and that is all.
- Magic Mike: Yep, I went there. If this isn’t the best girls night/Galentine’s Day movie I don’t know what is.
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before: This is definitely one of my favorite rom-coms! Noah Centineo is such a dreamboat and Lana Condor is the perfect actress for this role. Plus, the sequel, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, is being released before the holiday! I won’t judge at all if you watch both back to back.
- The Kissing Booth: While you’re on that Netflix binge, might as well watch this one, too! Especially because The Kissing Booth 2 will be released later this year.
- High School Musical: The cheesiest love story out there and there’s nothing I love more than cheesy.
- The Fault in Our Stars: If you want a good cry, this movie is for you. Get the tissues ready!
- The Sun is Also a Star: You guyssssss. I loved this movie! Yara Shahidi is so amazing and this is such a beautiful story.
- A Cinderella Story: “Because waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing.” A CLASSIC Y’ALL!!
- Little Women: Make it a movie night and go see probably the most amazing movie ever made! (Try to convince me otherwise.) I saw the newest rendition of Little Women right when it came out in December and I’m still not over it. This is definitely more of a galentines/mother + daughter film, but one you must see!
- Titanic: Obviously I had to end this list with the best love story of all time. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen Titanic and it truly never gets old!
While you’re having your fun movie night, don’t forget the sweets. Check out this Valentine’s Day recipe for easy sugar cookie bars here! Happy Valentine’s Day!

My hubby and I are watching TFiOS. It’s my favorite book and I love the movie with all my heart – but he’s never seen it. It was between this and A Walk to Remember – but then I began reading the book again and knew I had to pick this! Good list!

Last year, my husband and I watched The Fault in Our Stars, and it was perfect. I love a good sob story – but I’m not the biggest fan of Titanic, so I usually opt for John Green or Nicholas Sparks! This year, we’ll be watching basketball, so I got my cheesy, girly flick in with the new To All The Boys film. It was darling!

These are all such great recommendations. I have not seen Magic Mike though. I must change that.
