September 2020 Recap
Here’s a little September recap! Sharing what I bought, what I watched, and a few favorites here and there.
HIGHLIGHTS
I started off the month with my 26th birthday! It was a bit of a wild birthday this year surprisingly. A few days before turning 26, I found out I had a month stone… like a kidney stone but in your mouth. Wild I know. I ended up having a bad reaction to the medicine I was prescribed and it landed me a night in the hospital. So while I was recovering a bit, we were able to celebrate with a little cake and family time!
WHAT I BOUGHT
Fall is here you guys!! Anyone else so excited for sweater weather and chunky coats? I may be getting just a little ahead of myself because it is still pretty toasty in Charleston, but I can’t resist some good fall fashion. I took advantage of a few end of season sales this month and snagged a few new pieces for the colder weather to come. Check out what I purchased below and on my LIKtoKNOW.it page here.
WHAT I WATCHED
Homeland: So this has been the show we’ve been binging for the month. It was really good the first couple of seasons but now we are on season 8 (the last season) and its dragging on a bit. We’re definitely going to be finishing it, but we’ll be excited to start something else.
Selling Sunset: I am SO obsessed with this show. So many people have recommended I watch it and now I totally get it. I’m all caught up now and need another season ASAP.
Enola Holmes: This is the most recent thing I’ve watched and wow was it so good!! Y’all know I’m obsessed with Stranger Things so I had to watch Millie Bobby Brown’s newest work! She nailed this character and everything about the movie was perfect. 10/10 would recommend!

EXPLORING CHARLESTON
Guesthouse Charleston: This month, I had another little staycation at the absolutely beautiful, Guesthouse! Let’s just say I never wanted to leave. Check out my full recap of our stay here!
Butcher & Bee: This is one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston because of how vegetarian friendly it is! I definitely recommend giving them a visit and order the whipped ricotta – you won’t be disappointed. (P.S. They have outdoor seating!)
Pink Cactus: I love Mexican food so I was so excited to try Pink Cactus. They have outdoor seating so we felt comfortable the entire time. We ordered the queso dip, I ordered the enchiladas, and Mimi ordered the taco plate with cauliflower. It was amazing and we left with full and happy tummies!

Oh my gosh – I’ve never heard of a mouth stone. That sounds so uncomfortable! I’m glad that you’re alright and that you were still able to enjoy your birthday. It sounds like (aside from that experience) September was a pretty great month!
