I was so excited to partner with Carnival Cruise Line for a fun 5-day cruise to the Bahamas because it was my very first international vacation for blogging!! I’ve always loved traveling and it’s so crazy to think I’ve made this into a career now. I was lucky enough to be able to bring my mom along for the ride and we had such a fun girls trip! It was her first cruise and my second so we weren’t exactly sure what to expect, but we did all of our research to prepare. After a rather crazy first couple of weeks of 2019, it was so great to unplug and relax for the week in the beautiful Bahamas.
DAYS AT SEA
The days at sea are definitely what you make of it. We wanted a relaxing trip so we spent a large majority of our time in the Serenity Adult Only Retreat… but every now and then we would head over to the lido deck to see what fun events were happening! There was dancing, live music, and on Valentine’s Day, all of the couples were able to renew their vows! We also loved going to the shows at night (Carnival Cruise Line’s Lip Sync Battle and Hasbro, The Game Show were definitely our favorites!) and the 24-hour room service (oh yeah, we definitely took advantage of that!). Not to mention our intense game of Bingo which had us laughing the whole time!
We didn’t plan any excursions for our trip but did do some research on what we could do for free around the city. After browsing around the shops right off the port, we took about a 15-minute walk to the public beach, Junkanoo Beach. It was the perfect spot to spend the day with such a beautiful view!
This was by far our favorite part of the cruise. Princess Cays is just beautiful y’all! The island owned by Carnival is lined with the cutest colorful cabanas (that obviously I was obsessed with!). You can rent kayaks, jet skis, and snorkels and there is something for everyone. We loved more than anything swimming in the gorgeous blue water!

I agree that days at sea are what you make them! I usually make one day full on relaxation, and the other try to a bunch of activities .. all about balance haha
