June Recap
Here’s a little June recap! Sharing what I did, where I went, and a few favorites here and there.
HIGHLIGHTS
June was a huge month for travel and I’m a bit exhausted! I was out of town every weekend except the last weekend of June and did 4 media trips! I love that blogging has allowed me to see so many new towns!
We celebrated Father’s Day and my dad’s birthday! Happy birthday, dad!
My sweet friend, Anabelle, moved to Charleston!! She had previously been living in Seattle which was just tooooo far away! So happy to finally have her here in Charleston!
WHERE I WENT
Richmond: I knocked another town off the bucket list! Richmond really surprised me and I was impressed! Read my recap here!
Atlanta: My friend, Sarah, got married recently and I attended the wedding in Atlanta!! I fully took advantage of the weekend and made a trip to visit my hometown (about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta)! I saw my childhood home which really took me back! I definitely need to make a point to do this more often as I visit Atlanta so much.
Asheville: It was nice getting out of the Charleston heat for a little mountain weekend! The weather is perfect this time of year – at one point I thought I even needed a jacket! Check out my recap here!
Knoxville: It had been a while since I had been to Tennessee so I was excited for this one! Kelsey and I had a fun weekend in Knoxville and my travel guide is coming soon!
WHAT I BOUGHT
WHAT I WATCHED
When They See Us: I cannot say this enough – you NEED to watch this. I’ve now watched it twice and this story is so incredibly powerful and very important. Please take a couple of hours out of your life for this!!
Stranger Things: In preparation for Stranger Things season 3, I watched seasons 1 and 2 for like the millionth time. Anyone else a fan of this show?! I’m ready to pull an all-nighter once season 3 comes out on the 4th!
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
Literally all of the new Jonas Brothers album and that is all.
See more of what I’m listening to by following me on Spotify.
EXPLORING CHARLESTON
Southern Shangri-La: I’ve been dying to visit this adorable Airbnb and finally got to for a quick sleepover this month! I shared a few photos on my Instagram Stories, but photos do not do this place justice. If you are thinking about visiting Charleston or just need a staycation, this is your spot! Stay tuned for my recap!
Follow along on my food account as I eat my way through Charleston!

Uggh so jealous that you did so much traveling! I have been dying to travel a bit more, but alas… work is always calling haha. I am loving this cute dress and bag combo in the first photo! Sounds like you had a fun and productive (albeit, exhausting) June!

Traveling is so much fun! I was in California recently and I loved every second of my stay. I’m interested in visiting Richmond. They are a VegFest (Vegan Festival) and I’d love to live that experience. Thanks for sharing yours.
