July 2020 Recap

July 2020 Recap

Here’s a little July recap! Sharing what I bought, what I watched, and a few favorites here and there.

HIGHLIGHTS

Honestly, it was a bit of another boring month thanks to COVID19. We are continuing to stay home in hopes to flatten the curve, but it has been nice getting to spend more time with family! July was another super hot month here in Charleston, so we spent a good portion of the month cooling off and relaxing by the pool.

WHAT I BOUGHT

July was a big month for stocking up on new workout gear. I’ve gotten back into the swing of things and have started going on daily morning walks. After my feet were killing me and completely swollen, it was time to buy a new pair of workout sneakers. I purchased these Nike shoes and they have been a total life saver! I 10/10 would recommend. Check out the rest of my purchases for the month below.

WHAT I WATCHED

Joker: Wow, I have no words to describe this movie. Simply put, it left me speechless and Joaquin Phoenix absolutely nailed this role. The movie is available on HBO Go so definitely check it out!

The Kissing Booth 2: SO. If you were following me back when the first Kissing Booth movie came out, you remember how much I loved it – I’m a total sucker for cheesy romance movies! So I was definitely excited for the sequel to come out and it did not let me down. The first movie will forever be my favorite, but this one was really cute! Already excited for the third movie that they’ve started filming to come out!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

Call It Dreaming by Iron & Wine

EXPLORING CHARLESTON

Motherland Essentials: I have been wanting to try Andrea’s products for a while now and I finally snagged some! I purchased her Tea Tree + Peppermint Body Wash and Clay Mask Sample Set – so far I’ve only tried the body wash (which is amazing) but I’m excited to have a girls night with my mom and try the clay masks soon! Check out all of Motherland Essentials’s products here!

I watched the Joker at the beginning of quarantine not expecting to like it, but it was SO good! Love the blue maxi dress you bought, too!

I still have yet to watch The Kissing Booth 2. I liked the first one alright, but not enough to freak out with excitement over the second. I guess the cheeeeeese was a lot for me haha! I have to be in the right mood for a teen romcom (unless it’s To All The Boys..) I hope August is wonderful for you!

Oh my gosh, wasn’t Joker incredible? It’s a masterpiece and there couldn’t been anyone else for that role! Also, Iron & Wine brings back so many memories <3
