January 2021 Recap

Here’s a little January recap! Sharing what I bought, what I watched, and a few favorites here and there.

HIGHLIGHTS

Major 2021 highlight: Alabama won the college football National Championship!
We officially added a woman to the White House! And what an incredible thing it was to watch.
I met my new puppy nephew! My sister recently got a sweet corgi and he was the star of one of my photoshoots for the month! (Check out the little cutie’s hillheady debut here)
I got back into the groove of working out and being active again. I was in a bit of a rut but really started implementing a routine into my lifestyle that I can (hopefully) stick to.

WHAT I BOUGHT

Look, I don’t love the whole “new year, new me” motto, but… I’ve really been trying to start new healthy habits for 2021. I purchased some new activewear pieces and this really awesome foldable treadmill. It’s nothing fancy by any means, but it does exactly what I need it to do, which is let me work out from the comfort of my own home.

WHAT I WATCHED

Bridgerton: I finally gave in to the Bridgerton craze and y’all, I totally get the hype. In the rare chance that you haven’t seen this show, get on it ASAP because it’s such a winner. 11/10 would recommend.

Fate the Winx Saga: I was actually shocked at how much I liked this show! It was one of those random things I put on the tv with no expectations at all and was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this one, as well!

EXPLORING CHARLESTON

The Monroe House: This month, I had a nice little staycation at the absolutely beautiful, Monroe House! Let’s just say I never wanted to leave. Check out my full recap of the stay here!

Post House Inn: I also had the luxury of staying at a beautiful inn located in the Old Village in Mount Pleasant called the Post House Inn. Stay tuned for a blog post on this spot and check out their Instagram here in the meantime.
