Disney World Recap

11/07/2018

While Kelsey and I were in Orlando, we decided to pop on over to Disney World for a day! I hadn’t been since high school, so I was extra excited for this magical day. Since we only had one day, we had to be strategic with our time. Unfortunately, we had to skip out on Epcot this time around, but we were able to visit Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom all in one day!

First up, we went to Magic Kingdom. We planned ahead of time and got an early reservation at the Be Our Guest restaurant so we could get in early before the insane crowds and get pictures in front of the castle! (We did get charged $20 for missing our reservation, but it’s worth it to get in early and see Main Street with fewer people). Of course, we got a Mickey soft pretzel, something we had been looking forward to for a long time! Up next was Hollywood Studios where we ran into a bit of rain. One of us thought to buy ponchos and within seconds it coincidentally started to downpour! We didn’t care and walked around in our ponchos and soaking wet sneakers! This was perfect though because during the rain we took a bus to Animal Kingdom and once we got there, the skies cleared! The main thing we wanted to see here was the new Pandora. This was truly amazing and so lifelike – a must on the list! Finally, we headed back to Magic Kingdom to catch a glimpse of the firework show and one last ride. Tip: the lines are shortest at Magic Kingdom during the firework show! Take advantage of this time!

All in all, it was a jam-packed day of fun! My one huge piece of advice: if you happen to bring clothes to change in to, be sure to bring both pairs of shoes (I know, crazy right?!). I completely forgot one of the sneakers I planned on wearing for the whole day (head slap!) and had to wear Kelsey’s brand . new . sneakers. If you don’t follow, this meant lots of blisters that I’m still recovering from!

What’s your favorite ride at Disney World? Mine is a tie between Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom and Space Mountain at Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom! Let me know in the comments below!

We were gifted day passes to Disney World in exchange for a review. All views and opinions are my own!
