April 2020 Recap
Here’s a little April recap! Sharing what I bought and a few favorites here and there.
HIGHLIGHTS
Well, it was another quiet month for obvious reasons. On a lighter note, I was able to take a lot of time to relax and work on my blog in April, so it actually was very productive! We took advantage of the beautiful weather here in Charleston and took some bike rides around the neighborhood. There were also lots of fun virtual happy hours and only more to come in May!
WHERE I WENT
Literally nowhere thanks to Coronavirus.
WHAT I BOUGHT
And it was another month full of lots of retail therapy. Lucky for me there were TONS of sales in April, including an awesome Nordstrom sale. I’ve been on the hunt for a good quality sports bra and was so excited when I saw the one linked below was on sale. I’m pretty clueless when it comes to activewear, so I simply sorted all of the options based on which had the highest reviews and this one was the top-rated item! I’m still awaiting its arrival so fingers crossed it’s a winner!
WHAT I WATCHED
Outerbanks: We have been waiting so long for this to come out!! The new Netflix show was filmed basically right in front of our house all last year! Yep, the show wasn’t actually filmed in the Outer Banks, but right here in Charleston. If you’ve seen the series, you know John B’s “shack” which is our neighbor’s house in real life. There are many other scenes that were filmed right in our neighborhood, too. It has been so fun to see our town on tv and can’t wait to continue to watch! I’ll be updating my Instagram Stories and sharing some other spots where they filmed, so be sure to follow along here.
Upload: This new Amazon Prime original series is soooooo good y’all! It’s a must-see for sure! The show takes place in the future and explores life after you pass. It was such a unique perspective that I’ve never seen on any other tv shows or movies before! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Timeless: Another show we are currently binging is NBC’s Timeless. We are seriously obsessed!! Unfortunately, the show has since been canceled, but the two seasons are currently on Hulu here.
How to Get Away With Murder: And the most recent binge-worthy show we’ve been watching is How to Get Away With Murder. I can’t believe it has taken us this long to start it! We’re only on season one and we are totally hooked. If you haven’t watched it yet, now is the perfect time to start!
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

EXPLORING CHARLESTON
Baguette Magic: We’re trying our best to support local during this time so we’ve done our fair share of ordering out. One of our favorite spots, Baguette Magic, has been doing deliveries including their best sellers. We ordered lots of chocolate chip cookie dough – a quarantine necessity.

You’re making me want to do more online shopping. I’ll admit, most of what I’ve purchased has either been necessity, for date nights with my husband, or for my home. But now I’m realizing my summer wardrobe is SPARSE, and if we end up being let outside anytime soon, I’m not prepared haha!

Been all about some retail therapy as well – but all for the home haha. We are SO Outerbanks obsessed – finished the season in a week and are dying for the second season. May have to watch season one again! Also loved Shelbys post – so cute!
