Here’s a little November recap! Sharing what I did, where I went, and a few favorites here and there.
HIGHLIGHTS
The main highlight: Alabama Football finished with an undefeated season!! If you didn’t know, I am a University of Alabama alum and huge Alabama Football fan. I watch almost every game with my family and we cheer at the TV so loud (which is why we decide to watch the games in the comfort of our own home). Next up, the SEC Championship. Roll tide!
I voted! For the first time!! I can’t believe it took me this long, but I finally used my voice and it felt so great.
We celebrated Thanksgiving! I had a great time visiting with family, eating lots of pie, and of course playing with my little nephew, Calsen!
I also hosted my very first shopping event at J.Crew! I featured some of my favorite picks for the holidays. Thank you again to everyone who came out to shop with me!
WHERE I WENT
Dallas, Texas: I had so much fun in Dallas for one of my friend’s wedding! It was great to catch up with friends and see a new town.
Dress: Altar’d State // Coat: Halogen x Atlantic Pacific // Shoes: Tory Burch // Headband: Lele Sadoughi // Bag: Zara
Hilton Head: Kelsey and I went on our last blogger trip of the year to Hilton Head! We did lots of outdoor adventures and ate some great food. Read more on my travel guide!
WHAT I BOUGHT
November shopping means Black Friday and Cyber Monday – two of my favorite holidays! I was clearly feeling the holiday spirit this month and purchased 2 Christmas mugs! I also purchased this fun earring set from Bauble Bar which I love because I can mix and match all of the earrings.
WHAT I WATCHED
Mamma Mia: During my flight to Texas, I watched the new Mamma Mia. I had to try very hard to not break out in song in the middle of my flight. I’m a huge fan of the first movie and this one was just as good.
The Princess Switch: In true Hillary fashion, I had to see what this Christmas romance movie was all about. As I’ve mentioned before, I love cheesy movies and this one lived up to the hype. It’s a classic predictable holiday movie and I loved it!
Manifest: We are hooked on this show! The season finale just aired and I’m already looking forward to the start of season two. This was definitely my favorite new show of the season by far! A binge-worthy show for sure so get started!
EXPLORING CHARLESTON
Uncork: A group of gals and I went to the downtown wine bar, Uncork! I had never been to a wine bar but loved the concept and the atmosphere!
Holiday Festival of Lights: One of my favorite new traditions is driving through the Festival of Lights in James Island Couty Park. The past two years we’ve driven through it twice because we loved it so much and didn’t want to miss anything!
5Church: My first visit to 5Church did not disappoint. We had a great spread and got to try some of the best dishes on their brunch menu. I ordered the french toast panini with Nutella, but the Holy Sh!t Breakfast was the real winner of the table. Check out a pic of it here!
Hardscoop Distillery: This was something completely new for me! I had never had boozy ice cream before and I have to say, I didn’t hate it. They currently have fun and festive holiday flavors along with their classics like chocolate and vanilla. A fun new experience and I can’t wait to try some more new flavors soon!
Follow along on my food account as I eat my way through Charleston!
