I know what you’re thinking, summer hasn’t even started!! But to be honest, summer is just a blip on my radar. Yes, I love how fun the next couple of months are, but fall is where it’s at for me. Fall is my favorite season, especially when it comes to fashion. Therefore, I always look out for the upcoming trends and what I can waste my money on! Here are a few pieces I’ll be keeping an eye out for:
- Statement Coats: Last fall, I was swooning over this pink coat I posted about for Valentine’s Day and now I’m in love with all things coats, including this gingham number from Shopbop. It’s lightweight, so it can be used throughout the summer, but will definitely be making an appearance once, twice, or a million times this fall.
- Classic Camel Coat: This is something I have wanted every fall/winter season, but have never taken the plunge (I think because I haven’t found the one). A camel coat is a rare time when plain and basic is completely enough for me and I don’t feel like it has to be paired with a print or bright color. I definitely believe everyone needs one (you too, boys!) and now I need to practice what I preach…
- Berets: I purchased my one and only beret at the beginning of this year and it barely saw the light of day. So I’m going full Parisian this fall and need one in every color!
- Colored Tights: In high school, I used to wear dark purple tights under shorts and grey tights with yellow dresses all the time, but stopped my tight exploration once I went to college (understandably). I was so excited to see bright colors all over the runway for this upcoming fall/winter season and it definitely inspired me to channel this part of my style once again! This one will be fun!

Yes yes yes to this look and your fall picks! I love statement coats and like you, I jumped on the beret trend a little late. Although I basically wore one the whole time at Fashion Week. Obsessed! Can’t wait to see your fall looks {and more of your summer ones}.
