7 Records I Love Listening to at Home

The best way to unwind after a long workday is coming home, immediately changing into your pajamas, and putting on a record. I remember purchasing this Crosley record player forever ago and it has been one of my favorite buys to date. Not only is it fun to listen to, but it makes for a nice statement piece in my home.

Collecting old and new records has been a fun scavenger hunt throughout the years. Going into a local record store or vintage market and browsing their selection makes it all an experience. Plus, when was the last time you listened to an entire album from start to finish? While, of course, I enjoy listening to the oldies, I’ve also loved buying new albums, like one of my absolute favorites, Lemonade by Beyonce – one you wouldn’t normally find as a record. Pro tip? Urban Outfitters has a great collection of recent releases and unique finds here.

Now on to my list of favorites. The list below includes mostly classics, but a few curveballs here and there. I grew up listening to the Grateful Dead with my family, so this was an absolute must. Aso, Lana Del Rey, in my opinion, sounds even better on vinyl. I’m hoping to grow my collection more this year – have any recommendations? Comment them below!

  1. Lemonade by Beyonce
  2. Moondance by Van Morrison
  3. Rock of Ages by The Band
  4. Enlightened Rouges by The Allman Brothers Band
  5. Our Endless Numbered Days by Iron + Wine
  6. Born to Die by Lana Del Rey
  7. American Beauty by the Grateful Dead

I love me some rock and roll, I’m a huge fan of The Band! I love that you also have modern artists in your collection as well. I LOVE Lana Del Rey and her first album that you have is one of my favorites ever!

What a fun post! I got rid of my records after college (they were too bulky to bring back from Colorado). But I think it would be fun to start collecting again! My favorite album on record David Bowie’s Hunky Dory.

My parents used to have those retro record player (but back then it wasn’t retro) loved listening music through them. Totally inspired to get a record player now.

Ooooh I bet Lana is so good on vinyl! I love a good record player and the cool quality it gives to the music. My friend and I used to have wine nights and listen to Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra on record and it was lovely. I need a player for sure!

I don’t have a record player OR records to listen to, but I would imagine my collection would be all 80’s
