5 Blog Posts I’m Loving This Week
Yes, believe it or not, during the age of Instagram, I still read blog posts! And if you’re here right now, it means you do too! Yay! I had to give a shout out to these women who are continuing to update their blogs and creating amazing content. Instagram could up and disappear tomorrow so our websites are the only things we truly own and have control over.
Check out a few of my favorite blog posts from the recent weeks that you must read! This bunch includes some of my favorite bloggers in the game so make sure to explore their pages and show the love!
1. “So…Are You Ever Going To Do This Full Time?” – The Champagne Edit
Dana’s blog is probably my favorite blog out there right now. While of course her style is amazing, she also really tells it how it is, speaks with no filter, and tries to educate her readers – something that is so refreshing in the blogger world! I read this post last week and it really stuck with me. I think a lot of people have an idea of what blogging is (an easy job with free stuff and free trips), but it’s way more than you think and requires a ton of time and effort.
2. “What Makes You Hit The Unfollow Button Or Stop Reading (Your Feedback)” – The Champagne Edit
I wasn’t kidding when I said I loved Dana’s blog! This was a really interesting one for me to read as a blogger and not just a follower. The huge thing right now is obviously how many followers you have on Instagram, so knowing your audience, what people want to see, and more importantly what people don’t want to see is crucial.
3. How to Host a Backyard Summer Fiesta – Louella Reese
My Charlotte gals really know how to throw a party! They put together the cutest backyard fiesta and I’m jealous I wasn’t there for it! I always love when Laura posts about party planning or hosting because it’s definitely something she’s really good at! Also check out the garden party they had in May! (I had major fomo!)
4. Fall Forward // Blazer And Plaid Picks – The Atlantic Pacific
Only Blaire can make fall happen in the middle of July. I am absolutely obsessed with this entire look and it’s making me so excited for colder weather! My mouth just about dropped when I saw her post the outfit to Instagram. I never knew I needed Gucci socks until now!
5. 25 Brands That Believe In Inclusion – GoodTomiCha
Another blogger that I love is Tomi because she is also so real and upfront with her followers. Unfortunately, there are many brands who only work with the typical “blogger” – tall, blonde, and skinny – but there are so many bloggers out there right now who aren’t just posting the same dress from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that we’ve all seen literally twenty times. I love that Tomi gave us this, for lack of a better word, “guide” on some of the most inclusive brands out there right now. I don’t know about y’all but these are the brands I want to give my money to!

Great posts!! I wish people realized that not ALL bloggers want to make it their career and go full-time. I have a career I love and blogging is a great side biz and I want to keep it that way!

Ah! I definitely just scoped out #3 and #5 — love them too!

Yes, I still read blog posts! I think it’s crazy to see people who only have an Instagram calling themselves bloggers! I’ll have to check out some of your favorites.
